Research Community

At the heart of the NNI is nanotechnology R&D across the entire continuum, from basic research that fuels new discoveries through application-driven advanced research and development that leads to new products in the market. While individual agencies direct and support specific funding programs in pursuit of their respective missions, the strength of the NNI stems from the connections and collaborations that bring these efforts together and build out the entire ecosystem.

researchThe NNI provides a host of opportunities for the research community to get involved, including sharing highlights, participating in meetings and webinars, or joining one of the nanotechnology networks or communities of research. Of course, the research community is also encouraged to celebrate National Nanotechnology Day (October 9). Explore ways to get involved using the links on the left.
