Federal Agencies participating in the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) are hosting a webinar to announce the release of the 2011 NNI Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Research Strategy and to the discuss the development of this document and its key focus areas.

The US and EU jointly held a workshop to engage in an active discussion about environmental, health, and safety questions for nano-enabled products, encourage joint programs of work that would leverage resources, and establish communities of practice, including identification of key points of contact /interest groups/themes between key US and EU researchers & key US and EU funding sources.

This document is the report of a workshop held July 13–14, 2010. The goal of this workshop was to obtain input from stakeholders—both those new to nanoscale science, engineering, and technology and those already familiar with these fields and with the NNI—regarding the goals and objectives of an updated NNI Strategic Plan that was under development at the time of the workshop. This report was designed, assembled, and edited by NNCO staff. This report is not a consensus document, but rather is intended to reflect the diverse views, expertise, and deliberations of the workshop participants.
