National Nanotechnology Initiative’s Strategic Plans

The NNI Strategic Plans describe the NNI vision and goals and the strategies by which these goals are to be achieved, including specific objectives within each of the goals, as called for in the 21st Century Nanotechnology Research and Development Act. Per the Act, the Strategic Plan is updated every four years, replacing the previous versions.

The NNI updates its Strategic Plan every five years. The 2026 NNI Strategic Plan is currently being developed and will be posted on this webpage when it becomes publicly available.
