NASA: FY ’20 SBIR/STTR

Announcing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Fiscal Year 2020 General Solicitation. The solicitation period for Phase I proposals began January 21, 2020 and extends until April 20, 2020.  Phase I proposals have a maximum contract value of $125,000 and a period of performance of 13 months.  STTR proposals represent a partnership between a small business concern and a research institution. 

This solicitation includes several topics with nanotechnology themes. The “T6.06 Spacecraft Water Sustainability through Nanotechnology subtopic aligns with the thrusts of the Water Sustainability through Nanotechnology Signature Initiative. There are three areas of scope within subtopic T6.06:

  1. Increasing Water Availability Using Nanotechnology:  Removal of Problematic Contaminants from Processed Wastewater
  2. Improving the Efficiency of Water Delivery and Use with Nanotechnology:  Management and Monitoring of Silver Biocide in Potable Water
  3. Enabling Next-Generation Water Monitoring Systems with Nanotechnology
