NNI Representatives Thank the GAO for its Report and Look Forward To Considering the Recommendations Therein
(UPDATED June 21, 2012) The Government Accountability Office (GAO) today provided their Report to the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works on Nanotechnology: Improved Performance Information Needed for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Research. The representatives of the agencies participating in the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) and the NNCO have been working with the GAO during the development of the report and look forward to a thorough review of its analysis and recommendations. The NNI agencies remain committed to working collaboratively with each other and with external stakeholders as they forge a path forward to better achieve the NNI goal of the responsible development of nanotechnology.
